The Space

 
 

Chefs Rita and Jody designed a complete rebuild of the space before opening in the fall of 2014. The floors were reclaimed from an old gymnasium in Pennsylvania; in the early years of Via Carota, you could still see the paint from a former basketball court.

 
 

The custom light fixtures in the entryway and above tables 10 and 20 were made by the lighting artist Warren Muller. Also notice the antique tin ceiling, classic New York exposed brick, and beautiful stud framing by table 30.
