Decor
Much of the decor in the restaurant was collected over the years by Jody and Rita in their travels and visits to antique stores. The dessert plates are all vintage; many originally came from the chefs’ personal kitchens. Notice the antique bar tools, silver trays, and baskets of napkins and fresh ingredients. All of these contribute to Via Carota’s warm atmosphere, while at the same time acting as essential tools in our workflow and service.
The Via Carota chairs, which have become a symbol of the restaurant, are antique chapel chairs from Wales, made of beechwood. Our menus are rolled and tucked in the back of the chair, where the hymnals used to go.
