Trento Brut, Cesarini Sforza, NV: Trentino-Alto Adige

Producer: Cesarini Sforza

Grapes: Chardonnay

Region: Trentino Alto Adige

Dryness Level: Brut

Vintage: Non-Vintage (NV)

In 1974 Lamberto Cesarini Sforza, together with a small group of entrepreneurs, founded the eponymous winery with the aim of producing high quality sparkling wines that would be able to impose themselves not only among Trentino producers, but also on the national and international scene.

Trento DOC, often marketed as "Trentodoc," refers to a sparkling wine produced in the Trentino region of northeastern Italy using the traditional "classic method" (also known as metodo classico) and is known for its high quality and distinct taste. Trentodoc is a prized sparkling wine region due to the characteristics of the land, the variety of the climate and the distinctive attitudes of Trentino, which all contribute to authentic sparkling wine from the mountains and some of the best quality sparkling wines in Italy. Trentodoc can define itself as a sparkling wine from the mountains thanks to a special blend of elements: land, altitude and climate. From the mild Lake Garda to the biting cold of the Dolomites, the variation of temperatures present in Trentino varies greatly and blends with characteristics that are intrinsic to the land, structured Loamy-clay soil rich with stones from the Dolomites.

The Chardonnay Grapes used for the production of this Trentodoc are grown in the hills overlooking the Trentino capital. Grapes are fermented in 100% stainless steel. A crisp sparking wine with an intense bouquet of citrus fruits and white flowers and subtle brioche notes. A well structured sparkling wine that pairs well with Aperitivi.

Extra Brut Rose, Rosanna, Ettore Germano NV: Piemonte

Producer: Ettore Germano

Grapes: Nebbiolo

Region: Piedmont

Dryness Level: Extra Brut

Vintage: Non-Vintage (NV)

Named for winemaker Sergio Germano's mother, Rosanna is essentially a creative byproduct of his incredible Barolos. Sergio 'green harvests' his vineyards—picking some premature grapes so those left on the vine can develop more concentrated flavors—and turns those tart berries into this Champagne method sparkler. It is vibrant and racy, with tart cherry and raspberry leading the way to rose petals and a hint of cocoa bean. Can be enjoyed as an aperitif or with any of our Aperitivi.
